There is no campground within the park, but lodging is available nearby.

In the case of operator cancellation due to weather or unforseen circumstances guest will receive a full refund.

Dogs are permitted in the park as long as they are on a leash.

Boat Tour FAQs

Only service animals are allowed on the tours.


Boat tour and pontoon rentals are located in the Marina section of the park near the entrance.


There is no manatee tour.


Tour goes up river to archeological site then back down river, past the park and to shell island

For the safety of our guests, boat tours are not offered from June to September due to the significant amount of boat traffic for scallop season.


Yes, narration done by an onboard naturalist.


Our boat is ADA friendly, but not built to full ADA standards. Power scooters and other large mobility equipment may not be compatible with our boarding ramp. Compact wheelchairs are preferred. Please call ahead if you have questions about your specific equipment.


Yes, with one weeks notice and up to 25 guests.


  • A leisurely 1.5-hour professionally narrated boat tour on the 24-passenger vessel Monroe.
  • A 1 hour cruise to see the sun set over the gorgeous estuary (minimum of 2 passengers).
  • A private Eco Heritage Tour is available for large groups up to 24 passengers.

Food and drink are ok to bring aboard, but please respect the vessel and the park by properly disposing of packaging and waste. You may not bring your own alcohol aboard the vessel.
